Eyebolts and/or lifting trunnions supplied with the Bearing SI6C AST are designed to support only the weight of the Bearing SI6C AST, not the weight of the Bearing SI6C AST and any ancillary equipment attached to it. Be absolutely sure that cranes, jacks, slings and lifting beams are capable of carrying the weight of equipment to be lifted. Where an eyebolt is provided with the Bearing SI6C AST, this should be screwed down until its shoulder is firmly against the face of the stator frame to be lifted. Eyebolts are normally designed for a vertical lift. For eyebolt/lifting lug torques, see opposite.
